Parents & Teachers
Dear Mom, Dad, and Mrs. Larson,
I developed Professor Kipper Kidd with you in mind with the goal of helping your little people understand relationship principles with family and friends. I hope you love Kipper and the gang as they figure out answers to kid communication conundrums.
The dialogue format (not narrative) is intentional so you and your kids can read the stories aloud (in what some call a reader's theatre format), or, with some ingenuity, a play for the living room or classroom. Each book features four regular characters and 4-6 guests.
The books are not sequential yet hold together as Kipper Kidd shows leadership and curiosity, Burblex the bot provides facts and videos, Randa the red panda expresses imagination and emotions, and Wudsol the puppet questions everything.
The books’ themes reflect issues families and kids experience:
-
Expressing ourselves with words and facial expressions (Professor Kipper Kidd Meets Meaning Mayhem)
-
Using phones responsibly (Professor Kipper Kidd and the Social Media Mess)
-
Managing conflict (Professor Kipper Kidd and the Great Big Fight)
-
Talking about life not seeming fair (Professor Kipper Kidd and Life’s Not Fair!)
May you and your kids have a blast playing with these stories. And if you have ideas for us, let me know!
We thank the children’s book editors at Integratio Press for their help in shaping the Professor Kipper Kidd series.
Sincerely,
Bill Strom, Ph.D
